Health Care and Benefits Program for Veterans Affairs Canada

Medavie Blue Cross is the Insurance provider for the Veterans Affairs in Canada, your claims would be processed through them.  You can find their coverage information on their website at www.medaviebc.ca under provider guide.  Here you will find information about Veterans Affairs Canada, Canadian Armed Forces, Royal Canadian Mounted police and Medavie Blue Cross coverages.  As well as how to process claims, payments etc.

Once you have moved into Nanaimo Memory & Complex Care, you would inform the Veterans Affairs of your new residence which in turn would register the community and enable us to inquire on supports for the resident as well, ensuring that you are utilizing all supports available to you.
